ABOUT CYSA ASSOCIATION CUP

Geared primarily toward Division 3 level teams (although Division 4 teams are eligible to enter if they elect to do so) the CYSA Association Cup is an open competition for any boys' or girls' CYSA Division 3 or Division 4 team in the U-10, U-11, U-12, U-13, U-14, U-16 and U-19 age groups. Any eligible CYSA Division 3 or Division 4 team in good standing may apply to enter the CYSA Association Cup. The Cup begins with a weekend of preliminary rounds, and during the course of several subsequent weekends of single elimination rounds, advancing teams are determined. The Cup culminates with the annual CYSA Association Cup Championships where the Division 3 state champions are crowned. The CYSA Association Cup is a statewide event held in winter for the U-10 through U-14 teams and early spring for the U-16 through U-19 teams. Participating teams may be subject to travel over long distances and rescheduling of games due to adverse weather conditions. Teams should take these factors into consideration before applying. Teams can qualify for the Early Bird Entry fee is they submit a complete application by 5 PM October 15, 2010. The application deadline for CYSA Association Cup is 5:00 PM November 1, 2010. Teams that miss the application deadline may be eligible to enter the Reserve Pool. More details can be found in the RULES section of the Association Cup Page.

Applications Received

The E7 list is updated in "real time" and the teams are listed by age group/gender, then by date application received.

Applications are included in the list at the time they are entered. Please continue to check for any status updates. E-mailed/faxed documents will be reviewed by staff at their earliest opportunity and the application status will be updated to indicate the current status.

Accepted = Team has met all requirements and is accepted to the Cup indicated

Paid/Payment Received = Team has submitted and entry form and paid applicable fees but must still submit a copy of the team's goldenrod roster bearing the District Registrars stamp.

Not Paid = Team has completed an online entry form but must still submit a copy of the team's goldenrod roster bearing the District Registrars stamp and applicable fees.

NOTE: Early Bird fees expires at 5:00 PM on October 15, 2010 at which fees will increase (with the exception of Founders' Cup applications)

All components of the Cup Applications must be received by 5:00 PM November 2, 2009 in order to be eligible for Cup (Founders' Cup U16-U19 deadline is 5:00 PM January 3, 2011.)

Rules

ASSOCIATION CUP RESERVE POOL RULES Teams that complete an application after 5:00 PM November 2, 2009 are not guaranteed the opportunity to play. They must pay an entry fee of $550.00 by credit card, certified check, money order, or bank cashiers check. Any team that enters after the November 2^nd application period and meets all other entrance requirements will be placed in the “Reserve Pool”. U10-U19 Association Cup Reserve Pool Applications will be accepted until 5PM November 9, 2009. The deadline to adjust and add teams to flights divisible by four (4) shall be one week prior to the start of play for each age/gender division of play. Anytime that a team is needed to “fill” a flight in CYSA Association Cup Play, a team in the “Reserve Pool” in the proper age/gender group shall be blind drawn from the “Pool”. Any team not blind drawn from the “Reserve Pool” when play commences shall have its $550.00 entry fee returned to the team within thirty (30) days from the first day of play in the team’s age/gender division. The CYSA Association Cup Committee may blind draw additional teams from the “Reserve Pool” of teams in a particular division to make that division divisible by four (4) prior to the draw. The CYSA Association Cup Committee will only draw enough teams to get to the first number of teams divisible by four (4) above the number of teams that have entered CYSA Association Cup in the specific age/gender division of play at the time of the CYSA Association Cup Deadline for Entry. The CYSA Association Cup Committee cannot draw any more than a maximum of three (3) teams to attain a division of play that is divisible by four (4).

Sideline Behavior Section 3:08:03

Teams participating in CYSA Cup events are advised that due to an increasing number of complaints and incidents regarding inappropriate behavior on the sidelines at soccer matches, the CYSA Board of Directors has instructed the referees to remind each team of section 3:08:03 of the CYSA General Procedures and to inform the team officials during their pre-game instructions to the teams that it is CYSA's intent to enforce this policy. All spectators should be advised accordingly as it is the coach who is ultimately held accountable for the behavior of the spectators associated with his or her team. Please help us enhance everyone's enjoyment of the game by reminding your team members and spectators of their obligation to abide by this procedure.

3:08:03 Coaching from the sidelines, giving direction to one's own team on points of strategy and position, is permitted provided:

No mechanical devices are used.
The tone of voice is informative and not a harangue.
No coach, substitute, player, or spectator is to be anywhere but at his/her bench area during the game. A team's bench area shall be that area one (1) yard from the touchline and extending to ten (10) yards, one way, from the half-line only.
No coach, substitute, player or spectator is to make derogatory remarks or gestures to the referees, other players, substitutes, or spectators.
No coach, substitute, or player is to use profanity.
No coach, substitute, player, or spectator is to incite, in any manner, disruptive behavior of any kind.

The penalty for the above shall be ejection from the game and disciplinary action will be taken by the Board of Directors of this Association.

The locations of CYSA cup games will be determined after the committees meet to draw the cup brackets and plan the scheduling. Game locations will be posted as soon as venues can be confirmed. Game schedules are posted 3 weeks prior to the start of the cup when possible. The CYSA office will post the information as soon as we receive the approved schedule. U10-U11 CYSA ASSOCIATION CUP APPLICATION

IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATION, PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING!!!

to access the online application you the applicant is required to read and agree to the following important information:

In order for the U10-U11 CYSA Association Cup application to be considered for acceptance, all required components of the application must be competed and received in the CYSA State Office no later than 5:00 PM on Monday, November 1, 2010.

In order to expedite their team's acceptance, CYSA Association Cup applicants are STRONGLY encouraged to apply by using the online application process.

THE THREE STEPS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE CYSA ASSOCIATION CUP APPLICATION:

STEP 1 - ENTER

· Complete the online CYSA Association Cup entry form. (Applicants requiring a hard copy application should contact the Programs Department staff at the CYSA office for instructions)

· Enter the official team name by listing the name of the league, team name and 6-digit team number as it is listed on the team's approved CYSA roster.

· DO NOT USE A "NICKNAME" FOR THE TEAM. All cup records and files are maintained by the league and the official team name.

· Applicants can return to the team application to revise and/or complete information by entering the USER ID and PASSWORD they selected when completing the team contact information section of the application.

STEP 2 - PAY

· To expedite the application and to receive immediate confirmation of payment by email, applicants are encouraged to pay the entry fee online by using VISA, MasterCard or Discover card. Applicants opting not to pay online may submit a check or money order payable to CYSA.

· ENTRY FEES OF $550 MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5 PM NOVEMBER 1, 2010.

· FOR EARLY BIRD ENTRY FEES, PAYMENT IN FULL OF $500 MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5 PM OCTOBER 15, 2010.

STEP 3 - SUBMIT ROSTER

· Submit a copy of the approved, official CYSA roster (goldenrod) to the CYSA office. To expedite the team's acceptance, submit the roster by scanning and emailing the attachment to kkillion@cysanorth.org or by faxing a copy of the roster to the CYSA office at 925-426-9473.

· If paying by check or money order, please include a copy of the roster with the payment - do not email or fax a copy of the team roster.

· THE ROSTER MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE 5 PM NOVEMBER 1, 2010 DEADLINE. LATE SUBMISSIONS DUE TO DELIVERIES RECEIVED AFTER THE DEADLINE OR ILLEGIBLE FAX TRANSMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

TEAM OFFICIALS ARE REQUIRED TO READ AND AGREE TO FOLLOW ALL CYSA ASSOCIATION CUP COMPETITION DIRECTIVES, RULES AND REGULATIONS. THERE ARE PENALTIES FOR TEAM WITHDRAWALS AND FORFEITURES WHICH ARE SPECIFIED WITHIN THE RULES DOCUMENT. THESE DOCUMENTS CAN BE LOCATED IN THE CYSA TEAM MANUAL AND ON THE CYSA WEBSITE.

U12-U14 CYSA ASSOCIATION CUP APPLICATION

IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATION, PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING!!!

to access the online application you the applicant is required to read and agree to the following important information:

In order for the U12-U14 CYSA Association Cup application to be considered for acceptance, all required components of the application must be competed and received in the CYSA State Office no later than 5:00 PM on Monday, November 1, 2010.

In order to expedite their team's acceptance, CYSA Association Cup applicants are STRONGLY encouraged to apply by using the online application process.

THE THREE STEPS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE CYSA ASSOCIATION CUP APPLICATION:

STEP 1 - ENTER

· Complete the online CYSA Association Cup entry form. (Applicants requiring a hard copy application should contact the Programs Department staff at the CYSA office for instructions (kkillion@cysanorth.org or jisaac@cysanorth.org)

· Enter the official team name by listing the name of the league, team name and 6-digit team number as it is listed on the team's approved CYSA roster.

· DO NOT USE A "NICKNAME" FOR THE TEAM. All cup records and files are maintained by the league and the official team name.

STEP 2 - PAY

· ENTRY FEES OF $550 MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5 PM NOVEMBER 1, 2010.

· FOR EARLY BIRD ENTRY FEES, PAYMENT IN FULL OF $500 MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5 PM OCTOBER 15, 2010.

STEP 3 - SUBMIT ROSTER

· Submit a copy of the approved, official CYSA roster (goldenrod) to the CYSA office. To expedite the team's acceptance, submit the roster by scanning and emailing the attachment to kkillion@cysanorth.org or by faxing a copy of the roster to the CYSA office at 925-426-9473.

· If paying by check or money order, please include a copy of the roster with the payment - do not email or fax a copy of the team roster.

· THE ROSTER MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE 5 PM NOVEMBER 1, 2010 DEADLINE. LATE SUBMISSIONS DUE TO DELIVERIES RECEIVED AFTER THE DEADLINE OR ILLEGIBLE FAX TRANSMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
