Team Tournament Application Procedures
Applying to a CYSA Tournament
-
Teams may begin applying to tournament for the new season 2009/2010. Tournament application deadlines are eight (8) weeks prior to the tournament weekend. Because some tournaments receive more applications than can be accommodated, each tournament reserves the right to close the tournament to further applications prior to the application deadline. This policy is in place so that rejected teams have the opportunity to apply to other tournaments.
-
All tournament applications must be sent to your District Tournament Coordinators for verification and approval except for Association Cup, Founders' Cup, State Cup, District Events and Jamborees.
-
If any of these requirements are not met, your application will be returned to you without being approved:
-
Complete the entire application form, except for the District tournament Coordinator Box.
-
Sign the application indicating that you have read and understand the CYSA Policies listed on the back of the application form.
-
All applications must contain complete birth dates e.g. 05/02/90, 03/16/95, for each player on the roster.
-
Include a check or money order payable to the tournament to which you are applying for the amount of the entry fee.
-
Include an envelope addressed to the tournament that you are applying to and with proper postage affixed.
-
Mail the application, entry fees and envelope to your District Tournament Coordinator for his/her approval.
-
No team is authorized to forward a tournament application or check to a tournament without first receiving DTC approval.
-
You may apply to only one tournament per weekend, whether CYSA, Out of State or foreign.
Submitting a New CYSA Tournament Application Following Rejection or Withdrawal from a Tournament
- Acceptance and rejection notices for applications received by the tournament before the application deadline will be mailed within seven (7) days of the application deadline date. If you are rejected from a tournament and are reapplying to another one on the same weekend, you must send a copy of the rejection letter along with the second application. Failure to do this will result in a delay in processing of the second application.
- Teams withdrawing from a tournament must do so with a written notice sent by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the Tournament Director. If you have withdrawn from a tournament and are reapplying to another one on the same weekend, you must send a copy of your official withdrawal letter as well as a photocopy of the returned certified mail receipt which has been signed by the tournament along with the second application. Failure to do this will result in a delay in processing of the second application.
