California Youth Soccer Association is hosting a Soccer Symposium to discuss Recreational Soccer opportunities and benefits, Saturday May 12, 2012. This event is open to anyone associated with recreational youth soccer in Northern California. Breakout sessions and open forum will include; registration support, insurance, risk managment, recreation coaches clinics, and courses, league and club board development, recreation tournaments, and jamborees, Founders' Cup, referee training, marketing, and league growth, US Youth Soccer and CYSA memberrshoip benefits. Click here for more information.         CCSL 2012 Spring Season Registration is Open The CYSA Cal Soccer League Spring is a developmental period. The goal is to allow teams to try new players, new formations, and new opponents. There are no awards and the results are not used in fall seeding. Play dates will be March 31 through May 20. Games may be scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays depending on the club and registration league. The application period will close February 26. Click here for more information.         Don’t Forget CYSA player passes are now valid for all events sanctioned by USSF member organizations! CYSA registered teams may travel to any US Soccer Federation member’s sanctioned event using their CYSA player passes and insurance. These organizations include; US Club Soccer, AYSO, SAY, among others. To use your CYSA player passes at any non US Youth Soccer event, simply fill out CYSA travel form 2651 and send to the CYSA office five (5) days prior to traveling to the sanctioned event. This change eliminates the need for teams to carry both CYSA and US Club player passes or purchase event insurance when applying to non US Youth Soccer tournaments or events. Click here for CYSA travel form 2651.     Important Message from 3rd Vice Chairman regarding U9 teams competing in tournaments. The CYSA Board of Directors approved U9 teams participating in CYSA sanctioned tournaments. CYSA sanctioned tournaments may now include U9 brackets in their tournament instead of requiring teams to participate in a Jamboree format. Click here for the CYSA 2012 tournament calendar.     CYSA Director of Coaching Pass is a Must! With the 2011/2012 Cup season in full swing and tryouts for the 2012/2013 season under way be sure your league and/or club Director of Coaching has their new CYSA DOC pass. This pass allows the DOC to be on the sidelines (technical area) of any team in their purview* by simply wearing the pass around their neck for easy identification by any game or tournament official. The DOC pass issued through the CYSA Pleasanton office is free of charge. The completed application, with League President Signature, can be emailed, faxed or mailed to the CYSA main office. The pass will be mailed directly to the Director of Coaching. DOC passes are season specific and must be applied for annually.
