As with most of these experiences the best part was exchanging thoughts and ideas with other coaches. I've played the game for over 30 years and it wasn't until I started coaching that I realized how little I actually knew. Good coaches realize how little they actually know and are continually looking for new thoughts and ideas, this type of gathering facilitates that process.

I wish I had known that we were going to be under the sun 6 hours a day. I lucked out and packed a lot of t-shirts.  Many of the guys would have done the same had they known they would want to shower and change 2-3 times a day.

Overall I really enjoyed the course and feel I have improved my knowledge and coaching techniques. I think the guest speakers were great and the staff coaches were very enthusiastic. I like that fact that Karl keeps the focus on children learning soccer but having FUN.
